School Council / School Leaders
It is important at Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy that our student’s have the opportunity to contribute to their school life. Students who get involved within the student council will get to have their say and suggestions on improvements that could be made at school and will have a genuine impact on the school going forward.
To be part of the School council at Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy students must volunteer for this, 2 student council members are selected from every tutor group across each year group. Regular meetings will be held where students can voice their opinion on current events at the school and can make suggestions on how the school can improve going forward.
Joining the school council is a great opportunity for all of our students no matter what age and each year new student council members will be selected. This is an amazing opportunity to demonstrate your leader ship and communication skills which would look amazing for future employment.
